WORK EXPERIENCE
- Protocol Validation (from January 1995 to July 1995)
- Specified and tested part of the ATM signaling protocols using the
formal specification language Lotos (Language Of Temporal Ordering
System) and the tools developed at the University of Ottawa.
I was part of the Lotos team of the University of Ottawa (Ontario,
Canada).
- Software Development (from May to September 1994)
- Designed and implemented a demonstration application linking a
real-time monitoring software} (CIMVIEW) and multimedia tools under
OS/2.
I worked 4 months at the IBM Research Center of La Gaude (Nice,France).
- Software Development (from November 1992 to September 1993)
- Designed, implemented and tested an international sales and client
management tool on the Macintosh platform using the database system
4th Dimension.
I worked 7 months part time and 3 months full time at HELIX cie (Lyon,
France).
- Teaching Assistantship (from January 1995 to April 1995)
- I was a teacher's assistant for a C language class, in charge of two
hours of lab per week and the marking of assignments and projects.
I worked 4 months part time at the University of Ottawa (Ontario,
Canada).
MAJOR PROJECTS
- Networking

Simulated a UNIX-based network using TCP/IP socket programming. This
consisted of implementing the network layer, routing algorithms,
transport layer and a talk like application using the OSI reference
model.
- Real-Time & Software Engineering

Modeled a leather factory supervision system, including stock
management, production line control & machine-tool programming
under the iRMX platform. For this project, I was part of a 6
students team.
- Artificial Intelligence

Object oriented design and implementation of a music / voice
recognition software on the Macintosh platform. This project was
granted 2nd prize in an Apple student programming
contest in 1993.
EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
- Clubs:
- I was treasurer of INSA's sailing club (``les Big-Boys'') from June
1992 to June 1994 (I was in charge of a FF 60 000 budget).
I successfully organized a european windsurf competition for students
(The Euro Funboard Student Cup) in 1993 & 1994.
- Sports:
- Sailing, cross-country & downhill skiing (member of the University of
Ottawa ski team), badminton (member of INSA's badminton club).
